These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Team Signal app for Slack or Microsoft Teams, the DXMethods website and portal, and any related workshop or advisory services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by DXMethods (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By installing Team Signal, using the Service, or authorising Slack or Microsoft Teams access, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service description
Team Signal is an anonymous, team-level sensing tool for Slack or Microsoft Teams. It collects Smooth / Friction / Blocked responses and optional free-text context, aggregates them at team level, and helps teams identify delivery friction themes.
2. Eligibility and authorisation
You must be authorised to install apps in the Slack workspace or Microsoft Teams tenant you connect. By approving the installation in Slack or Microsoft Teams, you represent that you have the authority to grant the requested permissions on behalf of that workspace or tenant.
3. Data, privacy and anonymity
Team Signal is designed to be anonymous and privacy-first. We do not store names, Slack or Teams IDs, or other direct personal identifiers with Signal responses. Reporting is aggregated at team level. Use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.
- Do not use the Service to harass, surveil individuals, or collect data you are not authorised to collect.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
5. Intellectual property
All content, branding, software, and materials provided through the Service remain the property of DXMethods or its licensors. You retain ownership of your workspace data; we retain ownership of the aggregated insights and anonymised analytics we generate.
6. Service changes and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We aim to maintain reasonable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and remove the Slack or Microsoft Teams app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, DXMethods is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100 if no payment applies.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
