DXMethods (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides the Slack-based Team Signal tool and related workshop and advisory services designed to help teams understand delivery friction and improve developer experience. Workspace and account information
When you sign up or connect a workspace, we may collect your name, email address, company name, workspace name, role or job title, and billing or subscription details.
Signal responses
We collect Team Signal responses, which may include Smooth, Friction, or Blocked sentiment responses, optional free-text context, and team-level themes or categories derived from responses.
Technical information
We may collect limited technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, timestamps, usage logs, and app activity needed to operate and secure the service.
Cookies and analytics
If enabled, we may use cookies or similar technologies to understand site usage and improve the service.
2. How we use information
- Provide and operate the service, including Team Signal and dashboard functionality.
- Generate team-level insights and support workshops and follow-up reviews.
- Communicate with users and improve the product.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Anonymous and team-level reporting
DXMethods is designed to support anonymous, team-level insight. Where possible, we aggregate responses and avoid showing information that identifies individuals. We do not use Signal responses for individual surveillance, performance monitoring, or disciplinary purposes.
Information shared in a small group or containing identifying details may still make identity possible to infer. Do not include personal or sensitive identifying information in free-text responses.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where we process personal data, we do so on one or more of the following legal bases: consent, contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, or another lawful basis applicable to the context.
5. Data retention
We keep information only for as long as necessary to provide the service, support the customer relationship, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain records. We may delete or anonymise data after the relevant retention period. Retention periods may vary by data type and customer configuration.
